A Midday Update

This morning I had planned to volunteer with the SoS team at the SAF Gardens. They donated a bunch of delicious produce to SoS, and we were going to help out in their gardens. After accidentally turning off my alarm clock however (and ignoring my (very) greasy hair last night), I decided that it'd be impractical to rush there, back home, back to Omni, and back home in time for the art show tonight. I'd like to go with Adam and/or the team to volunteer another time, as I really was planning to go.

Mention of the art show:

Tonight is the First Thursday opening at the Underground. It's a big community event, and lots of people show up. A few weeks ago I decided this would be the day I would officially start advertising my project, so I made fliers for the event. One (that I've already finished) is an ad for a food demonstration I'll be giving on August 17. Another (which I'm still working on) is the general messaging for Green Food Solutions.

On that note, messaging:

Green Food Solutions envisions a community that values food and its quality. We strive to empower children to consciously make healthy decisions regarding their food, meanwhile educating parents how they may best foster a nutritious lifestyle for themselves and their families. Such efforts increase children’s independence and responsibility, meanwhile exciting both generations about a common interest. Improve our community and support education about the most essential resource available -- food.

Eh? Eh? I worked long and hard, so I hope it's satisfactory.

I'm planning to go to Omni soon, because I also have to give Suzie from Nibbles Academy a recipe plan for the cooking class on the 21st. (!!) I've been avoiding it, just because writing recipes is some hard work. Also, I worked from home yesterday, and I don't want to make it a habit.

Thanks for dropping by. Post a comment to let me know you were here! -S
